At eLichens, we design and manufacture advanced NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) gas sensing technologies for high-precision CO₂ and CH₄ detection. Our miniaturized, low-power, high-stability sensor modules are engineered for seamless OEM integration into portable gas detectors, enabling both single-gas and multi-gas configurations with ultra-high selectivity.

We have been partnering with leading industrial gas detection companies for many years, equipping next-generation portable devices with robust infrared absorption technology optimized for safety, emissions monitoring, and real-time leak detection in demanding environments.

We developed 1-series gas sensors with ultra-low-power consumption that used NDIR sensor technology, they have a small and compact design for an easier integration, a very low peak current, a simple digital communication UART interface, a high accuracy with almost NO drift over time.
They are factory calibrated with temperature compensation, have a fast response time, and are certified for use in Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX), IECEx, and UL HazLoc.

The mechanical architecture of our products can be customized to meet better integration into final products.



Mulberry 5P & 4P

Mulberry (4-Series) represents eLichens’ ultra-low power NDIR sensor platform designed for industrial-grade gas detection in portable and fixed applications. Built on a compact, industry-standard 4-series footprint with 4-pin and 5-pin configurations, Mulberry enables true plug & play OEM integration while ensuring high stability, linearized output, and full temperature compensation.

Its patented dual-channel NDIR architecture minimizes thermal shock effects and delivers reliable detection performance for CO₂, CH₄, and a wide range of hydrocarbons, including C3H8, C4H10, and other LEL-relevant gases, making it fully compliant with demanding safety and emissions monitoring environments, including Zone 0 intrinsic safety applications.

Bilberry 5E & 5S

Bilberry 5E & 5S extend eLichens’ 4-series platform into next-generation ultra-low emission and safety monitoring. Retaining the same compact form factor, Bilberry introduces two optimized configurations: the 5E (Emission) version, enabling ultra-sensitive methane detection down to 50 ppm for advanced emissions monitoring use cases, and the 5S (Safety) version, engineered for ultra-low power consumption down to 75 µW for battery-critical safety applications.

Both versions leverage eLichens’ patented NDIR dual-channel technology, proprietary IR micro-source, and advanced signal processing algorithms to ensure high accuracy, long-term stability, and extended operational lifetime exceeding 20 years. Designed for CH₄, Bilberry sensors are fully compliant with stringent industrial safety standards including ATEX/IECEx certifications.
